Christ "The Good Shepherd"

A very nice copy of a Russian icon of Christ as the Good Shepherd. The parallel reference to this icon comes from the Gospel of St. John 10:11, "I am the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd lays down his life for his sheep."  This version is painted in the Russian "soft school" or "zhivopisnaya" style.
