Mother of God "Deisis" Orthodox Icon

This is a very common depiction of the Mother of God in which She is seen supplicating. Usually, the Deisis is seen as three icons together; the Mother of God on the Left, Christ in the center and St. John the Forerunner on the right.

This icon is somewhat unusual in that the border is rather oversized. It is likely that the original painted version of this icon is a work of restoration. To this end, the inside panel is probably much earlier than the border itself.
