Union of Love Orthodox Icon

This icon takes it title from the Russian prayer, "Bound through the union of love, the apostles gave themselves to Christ, the ruler of all. They allow their feet to be washed and proclaim peace to the whole world." To this end, the Apostles are depicted here bound together in a knot wih the Savior (Blessed Silence) in the center.
