Guardian Angel Orthodox Icon
The Orthodox church teaches that from the time of being made a catechumen we are given a guardian angel to watch over and protect us, "Yoke upon his/her life a radiant angel..." Our Guardian Angel helps us in this life in ways that we cannot fully understand. This icon is a depiction of our angel that keeps and protects us throughout our life. In this Russian version we see numerous ways in which our angel helps us.
