Mother of God "Kursk Root"

The original Kursk Root icon of the Mother of God was found in the year 1295 by a hunter who, once he picked it up, noticed that a spring came from the ground underneath where the icon had laid. There are countless miracles associated with this icon, including the healing of St. Seraphim of Sarov when he was a child.
